At 6:00 PM 9/12/1999, I began writing and drawing my very first mini-comic, Megalomania #1: What Is Going On?. I was inspired by Scott McCloud's challenge to create a 24-hour comic book. I also wanted something I could give away to people when I was sitting at the Daily Texan’s cartoonists’ booth at UT. I didn't finish inking the 20 pages until 9/14, so I failed, but it was fun and it initiated me into the world of self-publishing comix. I printed around 130 and gave ‘em away until I ran out. I don’t have any plans to reprint it, because I’m sort of embarrassed of it.
